Resource Development Manager
A native of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, Katie Matras currently serves as the Resource Development Manager for United Way of Russell and Washington Counties.
Katie will be building and sustaining resources in the community by creating and maintaining effective customer relationships and directing fundraising efforts in assigned campaign accounts. This is her first venture with a non-profit organization; she is excited to start serving & giving back to her community.
Prior to working for United Way, Katie worked with K-VA-T Food Stores in Abingdon, VA as a Loyalty Marketing Manager. She also worked 3 years for Daymon Worldwide at the Giant Eagle office in Pittsburgh, PA as a packaging coordinator then transferred to the Food City account in 2009 as a Business Analyst. Katie attended Westminster College where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing Communications. She currently resides in Abingdon, VA with her husband Christopher Matras who works for Alpha Natural Resource as a Labor Relations Manager.
