Ms. Pomrenke joined Bristol Virginia Utilities (BVU) in March 2003 as Vice President of Finance & Accounting, after spending 9 years in the regulated and non-regulated natural gas industry.
In October 2005, she was promoted to Executive Vice President & CFO of BVU where she is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the utility, specifically BVU OptiNet and BVU Focus. Since joining BVU, Ms. Pomrenke has led BVU OptiNet's financial reporting, regulatory compliance and policies and procedures.
Ms. Pomrenke has been instrumental in BVU OptiNet's financial and regulatory success and its continued success of FTTP deployment. Ms. Pomrenke earned a B.S. degree in Accounting from the University of Virginia at Wise and an MBA, Finance from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She grew up in Wise County, VA and now resides in Abingdon, Virginia with her husband, Kurt J. Pomrenke, and their daughter, Kathryn Pomrenke age 6, and son, Aaron Pomrenke age 3.
