Director of Finance
A native of Abingdon Virginia, Tina Camper has spent the last 10 years as a United Way professional in numerous positions. She currently serves as the Director of Finance for United Way of Russell and Washington Counties. As Director of Finance, she is responsible for direct financial activities and coordinating the accounting, reporting, fund distribution analysis and cash management of United Way.
Tina's first venture into the non-profit sector was with People Incorporated of Virginia and United Way's Success by Six Program. During this time she also worked for the Workforce Development Program of People Incorporated of Virginia. She attended Abingdon High School and graduated in 1990. She then went on to earn an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Business Technology from Virginia Highlands Community College and also studied Business and Economics at King College in Bristol, Tennessee.
In her spare time Tina enjoys photography, web design, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with her family. She currently resides in Abingdon, Virginia with her son Cole and husband Jerry who is the co-owner of Virginia Creeper Trail Bike Shop in Abingdon and the Shuttle Shack in Damascus, VA.
